Choosing the right cinematic wedding videographer is a difficult decision and one that shouldn’t be taken lightly. 

My name is Neil Rickerby and for the past decade I have been helping many couples create a beautiful, unique and timeless record of their special day. In fact I have filmed over 300 wedding videos! After a long career in television I used my knowledge and experience of broadcast production to create wedding films that will stand the test of time. 

I started NDR films because I saw a gap in the market for high quality affordable wedding videography. Creating cinematic wedding videography quickly became a passion and I left my full time TV career to focus on NDR films full time, and have never looked back! After just a few years of weddings we quickly became one of the best wedding videographers in the country and starting booking up-to 50 weddings a year (and having to turn many more away!)

A wedding is a very personal experience and I will work closely with you to make sure your cinematic wedding video tells your own unique story. You can be confident in the knowledge that I will use my vast range of skills to tell the perfect story of your perfect day.

Using small mirrorless cameras I can capture the sights and sounds of the day in full HD using an approach so unobtrusive you will hardly even notice I am there. 

BBC trained professionals

All the wedding videographers at NDR have all worked across many different shows for the BBC and other television production companies. I myself worked for the BBC for seven years on such shows as ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, ‘Any Dream Will Do’ and various other entertainment programmes. Between weddings I still film part time for BBC documentaries, covering subjects from music to the Royal Family.

Working in both production and post production (the editing side) I learnt the skills needed to produce high budget television to be broadcast to an audience of millions. I took all of this knowledge and expertise and applied it to become a full time cinematic wedding videographer.

You won’t even know we’re there

The best compliment we can get at the end of the day (and we get it a lot) is “we didn’t even know you were there”. This is one of our main objectives. We want to make sure we get all of the footage needed to make a cinematic wedding video without getting in the way of you or your guests. We understand that some people can shy away from cameras so we use the best lenses possible to shoot natural interactions of your guests while staying at a respectable distance.

The cameras we use are small and discreet with an incredible image quality. We use the latest in mirrorless technology that record in full 1080p HD and 4K. We always work well with photographers

At NDR we understand how important a photographer is on your big day. Therefore we always make sure not to get in their way or interfere with their work. We may follow them for a bit (we like to get a few shots from the photo-call too!) but will always try to stay out of sight! In fact, most of our bookings come from photographer recommendations (because we are just so damn great to work with!)
